This is the best time to go in search of big rainbows and having a chance to hook multiple on any given day. There's not alot of browns, but the brutt stocked rainbows are just has much fun. This park can also offer some great dry fly fishing if you are a dry fishing NUT! I say the best time to come because of the crowds and all the pressure this park gets in the regular months. This keeps the trout killers at home which gives you more oppertunities at hooking some of these monster rainbows. You better bring a net if you plan on bringing one of these trophies in for a picture. It will keep the stress of the fish from beaching them to the bank and help protect the slime coat a little more. Althogh nets do the same thing, it's better than bringing them onto the bank cause more harm to the fish. Always REMEMBER when taking pictures that you gwt the fish back in the water as fast as you can so you don't kill it. I see alot of trout killed at the parks because of poor handling and not having a lick of sense on proper CATCH and RELEASE. Please practice C&R so the next angler might have a cjhance at that big fish like you!
