I like fishing this fly in a size 18 tied on a 3761 TMC. The colors I fish it in the most is red, black and olive. I like using a small ball of dubbing that has uv blended in the dubbing. I also had a few wraps of lead wire if I'm trying to get the fly down deeper. Then add a small amount of dubbing over the lead to hide it. The best way to fish these on our particular waters here in the Ozark's is to get a huge U swing to imitate the proper emergence. This is the way the midge comes to the surface and I like a dead swing better then a strip swing. I think you fool bigger fish that don't want to work for it.
